Dr. Taylor is a man after God’s own heart. His life is characterized by his desire to follow God’s will for his life as well as his thirst for a deeper understanding of Christ and people. He is prayerful in all things and you’ll often see him absorbed in bible reading, biblical teachings, and biblical history. He is compassionate. He is joyful. He is loving. He is patient. He is kind. Dr. Taylor, in essence, is a humble servant of our Savior Jesus Christ and desires nothing more than to serve God by helping people.
Dr. Taylor offers compassionate and focused care to individuals, couples, and groups. His professional experience is forged from over twenty-four years as a licensed psychologist in multiple public service and private practice settings in New York and Florida. Within the public service agencies, Dr. Taylor has devoted himself to those who others may have forgotten within the developmental, correctional, forensic, and geriatric clinical settings. His commitment to those in need is fueled not only by his passion for his work, but from his own formative and transformative life experiences including church ministry and missions as a devotee of Jesus Christ.
Dr. Taylor provides support and encouragement to those who find themselves in the most extreme and difficult circumstances of their lives. His education, experience, and devotion to Christ enable him to help the troubled and hurting experience hope, peace, growth, and healing.
Dr. Taylor’s formal foundational studies began at Miami Christian College (Miami, Florida) where he earned a B.A. degree in 1982 in Bible and Counseling and later earning his Ph.D. in Clinical/School psychology in 1991 from Hofstra University (Hempstead, Long Island, New York). His current professional interests include personality theory, philosophy of science, spirituality and spiritual directing. Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
