Leslie received her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic
University and is completing her post grad certification in Play therapy. She currently specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents and women using play therapy and expressive arts techniques.
Some of her areas of interest include sexual abuse and trauma recovery, grief and loss, self-injury, issues of self-worth, anxiety and depression.
Leslie is a therapist who creates safety and acceptance. Her warmth and creativity allow her to connect easily with clients. She believes that children are incredible and resilient with an innate capacity for healing. Working closely with parents, Leslie helps to equip, encourage and empower them.
Leslie is trained in EMDR (trauma processing), sand tray, animal-assisted therapy, trauma intervention and play therapy. She is a current member of the Association of Play Therapy. You might even see Rudy roaming around the office.
