Courtney has been practicing as a therapist for nine years, and working in the mental health field for over a decade. She is a strong believer in holistic and innovative healing who is certified in expressive arts therapy, trained in EMDR (trauma-resolution), and is currently pursuing a doctorate in somatic psychology, or the psychology of the mind-body connection.
Her areas of specialty include trauma resolution, codependency, issues related to self-worth, empowering survivors of bullying and abusive relationships, expressive play therapy with children, adolescent therapy, and working with highly sensitive and gifted individuals across the lifespan. (Highly sensitive people make up 15-20% of our population, and tend to process sensory and emotional material at an especially deep level, thus presenting them with unique challenges and needs.) She finds great joy in using creative techniques to build long-lasting confidence and relational intelligence in young girls.
It is her heart’s desire to create a warm, authentic, encouraging, and effective space where hearts heal and shame and pain can be released. Courtney is a Certified Expressive Arts Practitioner.
