Though his roots are in the Southern part of India, Abraham George was born and brought up in North-East India. A missionary with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1993, Abraham is also an ordained Presbyter in the Church of North India (CNI) in the Diocese of Chandigarh and has served as an associate Presbyter at the Christ Church (CNI) in Chandigarh from 1996 to 2011.
After ministering in the North-West Region for over 15 years, his wife, Romila, and he, served on the South Asia (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan) Leadership team of Campus Crusade for Christ, where Abraham led the Leadership Development & Human Resources (LDHR) and the Crisis Management Teams for the past 6 years. Abraham has been able to minister, teach, train and develop programs for helping more than 1200 missionary staff across South Asia, minister more effectively, as individuals and teams, as they take the gospel to the unreached millions.
Abraham has been instrumental in starting an 18 month ‘Counseling in Christian Ministry (CiCM)
program, which has had a great impact in the personal lives and field ministry of CCC missionaries. This
training has helped open many doors in the otherwise closed campuses across South Asia, by way of
allowing the missionaries develop skills that the college authorities are looking for, to help students on
Abraham is currently in Orlando serving with Cru on the Global Leadership Development and HR team.
While ministering with Cru, Abraham is also pursuing his Counseling Licensure in Florida and plans to
return to India in August 2019.
Abraham and Romila have two children, Aaron and Eden. While Aaron is a recent graduate, Eden is a
freshman at the Goshen College in Goshen, IN.
