While leaving a beach in Mexico, I noticed that my sister-in-law had found beautiful seashells.
I told her how beautiful they looked, and in a sad tone, she replied: “this one is broken.”
I looked at the broken shell, and I heard a voice within me that said: “even when broken, there is perfection; the brokenness makes it unique.”
My hope in every Psychotherapy session is to assist the person sitting across from me to find power in what they once found weakness; and perfection in what seems broken.
After getting an Associate Degree in Photography from CCSF, I realized that I was passionate about Human Behavior and the difference it makes for someone to feel like they matter. Following that, I achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Cal State East Bay.
The techniques that I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Behavior Therapy, and Play Therapy. The issues that I treat are anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and personal growth. I have a Master of Arts in Counseling from Palo Alto University, CA.
